Throughout his high school years Mark A. Iacobelli, D.D.S., F.A.G.D knew he wanted to enter the medical profession either as a physician or a plastic surgeon. He realized, although, that those careers would leave little time for himself or his family. Dentistry not only offered him the opportunity to work with his hands, it was a challenging business and healing art that would enable him to enjoy family pleasures such as picking up his children from school every day.
Dr. Iacobelli opened his first practice in Canton, Ohio in May 1982, and within four years many of his patients were driving from Cleveland to his Canton office due to his rapidly growing reputation. He opened a second office in Cleveland, and in 1991 purchased his current facility at 8030 Corporate Circle in North Royalton where he has consolidated both practices. We visited with Dr. Iacobelli recently, and listened as he outlined the services he offers;
I have a full-service dentistry practice offering tooth-colored fillings, onlays, and crowns, in addition to tooth whitening, periodontal treatment, and continuing dental hygiene care. My practice encompasses orthodontics, TMJ therapy, endodontic therapy, implant placement and restoration, extractions and third molar removal, and full mouth rehabilitation. My commitment to continuing education and experience uniquely qualifies me to provide the very best in diagnostic and treatment capabilities for even the most complex and demanding situations. Although the buzzwords in dentistry today are aesthetic and cosmetic dentistry, the reality is that these issues have always been the primary focus of our office since the very beginning.
We treat Temporomandibular Disorders (TMJ) to alleviate headaches, neck aches, and back pains by reconstructing jaws back to their intended positions. We have a lot of training in implant placement, doing surgical procedures, as well as restoring the teeth and making implant placement easier for our patients. With my certification in intravenous sedation we can do your cleaning, install crowns, and place your implants while you're under sedation right here in our office. Our years of experience also enable us to to combine oral surgery procedures with other dental procedures. For example, for a patient needing to have their wisdom teeth removed in addition to needing fillings, we can put them to sleep, do their fillings, remove the wisdom teeth, and when they wake up everything is done with a minimum of apprehension. I am one of the few dentists in the area having neuro-muscular dental equipment. Utilizing a computer, a magnetic field, and ultra-low frequency tense, we can relax the muscles of the jaw, the head, and the neck to provide quick relief for patients that years ago would take us between a year and two years of treatment to accomplish.
We strive to take care not only of our patients, but also our patients' emotional needs, as well. My highly trained, professional staff, many who have been with me since the beginning, forms the backbone of my practice. Their knowledge, caring, commitment, and willingness to work together as team puts us in a league far above other dental offices. Our commitment to technology enables us to remain up-to-date with modern neuro-muscular dentistry, and our new web site, available by the end of March 2006, will provide our patients with extensive educational materials that will thoroughly explain our procedures, and offer them the opportunity to log onto our systems and check their appointment dates, account balances, and make payments on their account.
I have committed to numerous hours of continuing education which has enable me to acquire and maintain my Fellowship with the Academy of General Dentistry. This continuing education has been highlighted by completing Multi-year programs in orthodontics (braces), neuromuscular and TMD Treatment for jaw and head pain, aesthetic and cosmetic dentistry, implant placement and restoration, and a one year program for conscious sedation (intravenous anxiety control) with Advanced Cardiac Life Support. I've also been recognized by The Straight Wire Orthodontic Studies Organization for my commitment to continuing education for orthodontics, TMD treatment, and neuromuscular dentistry.
